Zire Wongamat condominium will continue the owner’s portfolio of world class waterfront properties. Timeless in design simplicity, material and from, the market driven unit planning will meet the new international market demands of Pattaya, Thailand. Situated on the edge of Pattaya’s Naklua beach, two single loaded slender towers offer a marketable variety for condominium buyers. The 55 floor West Tower faces west and offers all units full views to the sea. The 36 floor East Tower offers all units views to Pattaya bay and the distant mountains. All units offer balconies and large window glass panels for expansive and distant views of the landscape.
Architecturally, we sought a form and massing of geometrical clarity and order – technically expressive of the shear wall structure necessary for these towers. The views, planning and structure dictated a plan configuration appearing as horizontally stacked and spaced slabs of quarry cut stone: Monolithic in presence, the towers appear of enormous weight, primitive power and a permanent work of architecture. The striated vertical tower edges are metaphorically held together with tendons of wood interior partitions. The two towers are compositionally opposed by the horizontal, striated layers of water bodies, stone plinths and pools. Metaphorically it is a planar landscape of horizontal edges. The structure and finishes are comprised of a nobility and clarity of timeless building materials: reinforced concrete structure, stone cladding and wood and concrete interiors. A series of large pools and waterfalls are surrounded by tropical, sustainable gardening.
